First day of the regatta was an unexpected breeze gusting up to 20 knots arrived in the morning but then dropping during the day. As the breeze dropped we manaed three races. First race won Petr Fiala followed by Tamas Szamody and Jakub Hucek. Second race had the same winner and in second place finished Humphrey Carter and in third Ivo Sláma. Viktor Teply and Tamas Szamody were scored OCS. Before the third race of the day the wind had dropped and had to be shortened on the top mark in the last lap. First to cross the finishing line was Viktor Teply followed by Petr Fiala and Tamas Szamody.
After coming ashore competitors got a snack and after a dinner with traditional czech beverage…beer from the sponsor.
Next day , on Saturday, we were not very lucky with the wind conditions and had to stay all day ashore because there was no wind on the water. On Sunday wind started to blow again after a wait and we had a sudden rush to go sailing so finishing the beers quickly was required. Breeze was quite light, around 8 knots, but stable comparing to usual earier variable conditions. Petr Fiala assured his first place by finishing 2nd and 1st. However, there was a close fight for the second place going on between Viktor Teply and Tamas Szamody. In the end in overall results Viktor finished 2nd one point ahead of Tamas. In fourth place finished Humphrey Carter from Great Britain and in 5th place Marek Bachtik.
We look forward to the D-one Europeans at the same venue next year.
