grb 2014 inlands 1With a large percentage of the UK D-One fleet only arriving home from their Gold Cup just days earlier in the week a depleted fleet of D-One's attended their Inland Championships at Oxford Sailing Club over the weekend of the 25th/26th October.   Saturday was shared with the D-Zero's and International Canoe's. The aim of the day was for short action packed racing and minimal faff and that's exactly what the race officer served up with four 35-40 minute three lap races back to back.

Durante la giornata c'è stata grande alternanaza nelle parti alte della flotta, con Nick Craig alla fine in testa  seguito dal ceco Peter Fiala a 4 punti e Uberto Crivelli Visconti, neo campione italiano 49er.

There were dramatic conditions for the opening day of the D-One Gold Cup. Competitors from 9 nations woke up to a sunny morning and the breeze built throughout the morning of Day1 in the beautiful backdrop of Alassio Bay.

During the day there was a great deal of chopping and changing at the front of the high calibre fleet. GBR's Nick Craig led the fleet overnight tied with Peter Fiala CZE on 4 points. Uberto Visconti ITA finished off the top 3 after just claiming the 49er Italian nationals.
