update: We now have some additional prizes provided by Spinlock. In support of the launch of their exciting new range of 50N PFDs this season, Spinlock will be supplying a number of WINGS as prizes for key events.
Already the choice for team BAR, the WING offers the performance sailor a fresh approach to PFD design, focusing on the speed, athleticism and high agility of the new generation of sailors in a compact minimalist design. https://www.spinlock.co.uk/en/categories/wing-and-foil-pfds
For each regatta in the traveller series we have a Spinlock "Wing" PFD to give away. Spinlock will also be supporting us at this years National champs with some prizes. A fitting
prize to have "Wings" for those who sail the boat with wings!
With a large percentage of the UK D-One fleet only arriving home from their Gold Cup just days earlier in the week a depleted fleet of D-One's attended their Inland Championships at Oxford Sailing Club over the weekend of the 25th/26th October. Saturday was shared with the D-Zero's and International Canoe's. The aim of the day was for short action packed racing and minimal faff and that's exactly what the race officer served up with four 35-40 minute three lap races back to back.
There were dramatic conditions for the opening day of the D-One Gold Cup. Competitors from 9 nations woke up to a sunny morning and the breeze built throughout the morning of Day1 in the beautiful backdrop of Alassio Bay.
During the day there was a great deal of chopping and changing at the front of the high calibre fleet. GBR's Nick Craig led the fleet overnight tied with Peter Fiala CZE on 4 points. Uberto Visconti ITA finished off the top 3 after just claiming the 49er Italian nationals.
